Hey Z,

Great CC questions.

I finally found the road map that QNTM laid out for DLT at a NASA Mass Storage conference in 1995. Interesting to see that they've moved up the next generation DLT to the first quarter of 1999.

There are also some interesting papers by IBM, Watkinson and Kryder.

P.S. Do you know the margins for the recurring media sales? As you know, Fuji is the OEM for the digital tape that QNTM is reselling. Already close to $70 million/quarter, or about $280 million annualized, on an installed base of about 500,000 units! Maybe QNTM should just sell the DD unit to Matsushita, huh? How does 1x sales sound?
