"No i'm quoting the Supreme Court, marriage is a basic civil right of man. I agree with that wholeheartedly."

Wholeheartedly? You've already agreed the statement was never intended to be applied to gays and that the assumptions/limitations underlying the Supreme Court statement are valid. ... a contractual agreement between a man and a woman.

"Asserting something is not the same as demonstrating it.

That's right. You have asserted gays are discriminated against but have not demonstrated it. It has been demonstrated that gays have access to every benefit and protection under the law that heteros do. So your assertion has not been demonstrated and in fact has been proven to be false.

"Straights have the right to define their culture for themselves and for purposes of posterity as they like. Straights have married, and produced core families with a set of cultural values that builds community and a particular type of society. You have not recognized their right to define/classify themselves as different than other cultures founded upon carnal materialism. Until you do, they will see your attempts to define sameness as an attempt to make one culture and the other the same. They are not the same, 'the one that is fed' will survive, as they say...and this is the source of conflict."

"This is nothing but bigotry. All men are created equal with certain unalienable rights. Nobody gets to define those rights for anybody else.

There is no bigotry in my statement, none what-so-ever. Asserting it to be so is simply dishonorable and cowardly on your part.

"All men are created equal with certain unalienable rights. Nobody gets to define those rights for anybody else.

Of course but attaching that statement to an allegation of bigotry does not make the allegation true. Your allegation is false and insideously so.

"We weren't the first country to acknowledge and protect the full civil rights of blacks or women, and we won't be the first for homosexuals. But that's where we're heading..."

That statement, which you've repeated now in one form or another has nothing to do with anything I've said. It is irrelevant because blacks, women and homosexuals have full protection under the law. If your argument is simply that there is a direction society is moving, which makes that direction good and right, then you would have supported the doctrines of Manifest Destiny or the Plantation Economy for the same reasons, which were later shown to contain basic flaws. If that is not your purpose in this often repeated statement of cultural trends then what is it.

"Your bigotry of heterosexual superiority will fade away with time."

There is nothing in anything I've posted that justifies that assertion. You are merely flayling in anger over having no good reason for the position you have committed to. A wiser man would just admit it.
