my understanding is that he has some money in AIG that is 'unavailable' so that might color his opinion <g>

but i feel considering how well connected this guy is and the circles he runs in, his opinion should not be discounted necessarily as hyperbole

i was surprised there was no response, no nothin' to that post....are we jaded here, or do we not understand the consequence of non-financial guys like jeremy clarkson's 'doomed' scenario...

'specially liked his 'getta gun' statement:

Right now, there are two paths you can go down. You can either adopt the Irish attitude to the impending catastrophe and party like it’s 1999. In which case you are better off ignoring the Vauxhall and buying a 24ft Donzi speedboat instead.

Or you can actually start to make some sensible preparations for the complete breakdown in society. In which case you don’t want a Vauxhall either. Better to spend the money on a pair of shotguns and an allotment.
