The stock sure took a beating on today's news, but the volume wasn't large enough to make it very meaningful. My guess: a few folks had just climbed on-board hoping for a short-term bounce on the Xerecept news, which Paul Freiman predicted at the stockholders meeting. Once the news was out, they didn't care to stick around and so bailed.

I don't think the Xerecept news was disappointing. It is just that the market (other than the holders of the 80,000 shares that sold today -- which was about the same number that traded yesterday too) doesn't ascribe any value to Xerecept. The folks hoping to profit on the Xerecept news misjudged the market and then bailed in disappointment.

Anyone else have a different take on today's action?
