hospital of penn open new area for hospice requiring hospital treatment. I understand the place is beautiful. lobby has working fireplace, lounge chairs.. rooms have beds for extended family to stay with hospice care client. the whole theme to have the area look like home.

Thanks skinowski.... Both for the information, and your agreement to give it some thought....It's most appreciated.

And this is EXACTLY why I mentioned we should have fewer and smaller hospitals for the acute work, but lots of larger places for the body to recover from whatever trauma caused the problem in the first place.

For instance, the Gulf Coast had a horrific hurricane. Some of the people there are STILL on public assistance of all sorts because their emotional and financial trauma was "so great".....

Wouldn't we think if the Government decides to spend BILLIONS on the above, they should consider some care for the physical trauma's that involve people. We all have or will have something...sickness, injury, car accidents, beatings, etc etc etc.

Last but not least, for the price of a day in the hospital - or a visit to the ER - a person could rent a suite in the most expensive hotel in town, have a nurse in the room around the clock, pay for all medications, have Docs and specialists visit every day - and still save a fortune when all is said and done..... :)
