Where were the Secret Service guys that are supposed to leap in front of the president and "take the shoe"? Could it be that they WANTED him to get nailed by a shoe? They're Americans too.

Or, maybe it's just that he's such a lame duck loser that they realize they'd actually disappoint Americans if they saved him?
It's a no win job with Bush.

"Also, Bush did such a very good job ducking out of the line of fire.

Actually I think that ought to be part of every press conference."

Dodging objects thrown by scrawny-armed liberal reporters wouldn't hold interest for long. I'd rather see him throwing things at them.

my only response was, "thank god they finally found the weapons of mass destruction!"

Patriotic outrage against an Iraqi insulting Bush? Not me. I am proud of the guy and ashamed of us. We are occupying a foreign land, starting and waging a war based on pure and intentional lies. WE started it and WE are the agressor. To support the war is to go against everything the US is supposed to stand for. What the US is doing in Iraq is no different that what Russia did in Afghanistan.

Well...it IS a little different:

1. Afghanistan is in Russia's backyard.
2. Afghanistan, with the CIA's help, really was a security issue.
3. Russia didn't start the war by lying to it's people.
