People fall onto a scale of sexual preference. You can have a spouse of the opposite sex, have children and then decide that you would prefer living with someone of the same sex. Some people are in the middle, some people are on the opposite ends. It isn't a black and white choice for some.

Wait, I thought gayness was supposed to be a genetic trait that was fixed. You don't get to choose whether or not to be gay. Some folks sure say so. Wasn't that one of the arguments for same sex marriage - that people are born a certain way, can't change and that therefore the only way to be fair to them is to allow same sex marriage so they can have what they otherwise could not have?

Now you say sexuality is fluid and its NOT a black and white choice. Some folks are "in the middle" and people can change their "PREFERENCE" simply by "DECIDING" they'd like to. They can "DECIDE THEY WOULD PREFER" to be a different orientation.

Congratulations, you've just tossed one of the main arguments for same sex marriage into the trashcan. Well done!

BTW there are some religious ministries, including one associated with Sarah Palin's church, which say they can get people to abandon homosexuality and change their orientation. I'm a bit surprised to see you agree with them that this is possible and happens all the time, in both directions.

Everyone knows you have them. All homophobics have them.

It seems to me that people who go around calling others homos deserve the term "homophobic" more than I. Now, who on this thread has been calling people homos?
