We just got Maggie home yesterday and she needs a towel wrapped around her stomach in order to walk on anything near slippery. It didn't help to have icy snow yesterday. We use the towel for about everything. It had to be used for stairs up and down yesterday. Today we see a bit of improvement as we can walk her up and down one or two steps at a time with a leash. She has a collar around her neck (one of those plastic ones) to keep her from chewing on her leg. Why her leg when she was having the melanoma removed from her mouth? Because she has two long surgical scars (about 6 and 7 inches) having had a couple of cysts removed that were other than fatty tumors, but not melanoma. At the same time she has these wonderful stitches where the melanoma was growing on the side of her mouth, and another set where they found a couple of bumps in her lip that older dogs get, but she didn't want to take a chance on them changing later, so those also, were removed.

The main thing is still that she has no appetite... slowly but surely... she will improve :)
