You can tell just from reading the article that a lot more bad news is coming from CALPERS. For example they actually brag that Commercial Real Estate hasn't been hit hard and that it is 10% of their holdings. How dumb do you have to be to bring THAT up as a reason to be optimistic?

They also talk about direct real estate holdings and investments. What about all the MBS garbage they were buying?

This news was sugar coated. There is a LOT more bad news to come from CALPERS.
