Bob Brinker used to have message boards. When people would criticize him, much like the radio, your post would vanish. Then he made it subscriber only. And then came the QQQ. And subscribers (only) criticized him. Now there are no more message boards on his site.

"Invitation only" boards SHOULD be a dead give-away, but I guess if you're buddy-buddy with the people who run those kinds of boards, you don't recognize it. It sure does seem like a peculiar approach to marketing.
