it's already happening....i saw a pick up truck parked along the side of the road with a billboard for "lauri's dog grooming, reasonable rates"...i'm sure she's operating out of her home...i saw a guy in my neighborhood, (was a renter) and was doing auto detailing out of his garage....lady next door set up a "christmas boutique" selling items out of her home (all of which violate the subdivision covenants, it's a relatively high end golf community)

i can remember my mom used to go to a 'beauty shop' operated out of a woman's house, in her basement (reflecting back on it, it was a really nice operation...very professional, but obviously lacked the high fixed cost that a 'salon' operator today, so i'm sure she probably made good money from it, it was always busy)....back then hair salons as we know them today were only in the very high rent districts....

i went to one of the salons here the other day, and i was the ONLY client....right before xmas, unheard of
