My daughter goes to school in a town on the Palouse. Very hilly and the weather is more severe than around here. We decided to go with studded snows, which go on sometime after Nov. 1. The choices were the Nokian, Hakkepelitta and the Hankook. I forget why we opted for the latter, but they're a great performing tire in snow. BTW, my Bucket List includes a motorcycle ride to Jasper and Banff. If I were to head up that way sometime, maybe we could get together. Last time I was there was 1970, when I turned 18, camped out in a drizzle in a baggie tent in Jasper National Park. Maybe I can combine a ride up that way with my 2nd annual trip to Osoyoos, BC, which takes place Memorial Day Weekend.
