Ford HAS shown more foresight (by far) over GM and Chrysler in that they actually have some vehicles out there that can compete with the Japanese on fuel efficiency (Focus, Fusion) and reliability (Fusion), but Mullaly's big BRILLIANCE came from securing financing when it was available and cheap.

Very true. It was a brilliant move.

Ford has also already shed some of it's foreign loser brands, Jaguar, Rover, etc.

I saw a car I didn't recognize today. I thought it was a Hyundai, but then I saw it was a Jaguar X type!
