That is what I tell my students. It doesn't matter where you go, you make your path. So many students feel that they're a failure if they don't go to Harvard or Stanford, or their parents make them think that they're a failure. It's sad.

You do get to work with very smart people at these schools, but graduate school is even better for that.


The thing about students who go to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton etc. they have an edge when they first get out of school because many of the wealthy send their kids to those schools. The connections rock. That can be useful when breaking into an industry.
