I guess GEMS is getting hammered because of this Hong Kong thing. Every company with international business is getting hit. Very upsetting, I thought we'd be up today on what I thought was a better than average earnings performance--not to mention a $16 million contract announcement.

Selling into today's madness may have been a mistake. Hong Kong is nailing the market. Everytime I have ever sold due to an international influence it has killed me. Look at the 30 year bond today. Interest rates fell faster than a stone. GEMS is completely at the mercy of the Hong Kong flu this morning, as is 95% of the stock market. After the last earnings report it took a day or two before analysts weighed in with any opinions. I know I took Jim Detwieler to task for reporting the reinteration of their opinions here instead of actual changes but if we do get an upgrade or two the stock will move back over 16. Perhaps much higher. Especially when the market realizes the positive bond market enviroment here in the US. The stock market and GEMS will both be oversold soon. The bond market overbought. Rebound tomorrow? That's my expectation. Regards, Jeff
