There's that "flush your standards" right wing logic. If the enemy does it, it's ok for us to do it - we get a pass.

But, that's wrong. It's then when your beliefs and standards are TESTED against your fears. When you show your values are stronger and superior to those of your enemy.

America had always done a fair job of meeting the test, until Bush. Like virginity, once it's gone, there's no getting it back.

THANKS, W! Now, America is a torturing country, like so many we castigate for the same thing. We're right in there with these: China, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Uganda, and Uzbekistan.

There is also more than one story. You seem to want to ignore the cases where we prosecuted our own people for waterboarding.
