paulnewmanhero asked:

<<Would it change your view of him if he was? I am pretty sure I have seen him advertised as a registered financial advisor.>>

--Not really. Financial advisors are essentially salesmen too. A lot of them are very unsavory characters.

The bottom line is, whether you listen or subscribe to Brinker (or kirk, or motley fool, or whoever), or get your info free from Money Magazine and CNBC, or hire a financial advisor, you need to do your own research and make your own final decisions.

A lot of Bob's advice is simple, but still priceless. Nothing he has ever said has helped me more than this:

"You need to become your own personal financial advisor." (or words to that effect).

If he manages money as he advertises in his newsletter wouldn't he have to be registered? I could swear he has said he is a registered financial advisor. I will ask him today when I call him.
