Dave, do you know that what the auto companies are asking for amounts to .2% of the funds already committed to the banks and insurance companies? Do you have ANY sense of proportion?

Actually, they did what they needed to do, which was to protect the people's money from the UAW. If Bush blew it, they can't do anything about it.

Unfortunately republican demagoguery seems to know no emergencies...if the auto makers had gone into bankruptcy and then into liquidation, it'd be another stone on their deepening graves...
