Just saw a former student of mine who is a freshman at Harvard. He was a tremendous student-- intelligent, hard-working, active participant. I asked him how he felt the students were. He said that 90% are busting their butt with lots of public school kids who don't know any other way than to work hard. The other 10% are there for their connections (he gave an example) or they are the super-prep school (Exeter) kids who don't know what to do with themselves now.

All of the students that I have known to go to Harvard have been amazing kids. To work with them is a reason to go to a college like Harvard.

This is undergrad I'm talking about.
