We've had Mary Poppins in the minivan as of late. I haven't seen the movie in a long, long time. And now, I only hear bits and pieces of the dialogue but the opening line goes something like:

"How's the banking business?"

"Fine. Fine. Money is sound. Credit keeps going up, up, up. And the pound is the admiration of the world."

If my 3-yr. old only knew.

Here’s the thing about Pottersville that struck me when I was 15: It looks like much more fun than stultifying Bedford Falls — the women are hot, the music swings, and the fun times go on all night. If anything, Pottersville captures just the type of excitement George had long been seeking.

And then George discovers he's into S & M.
