Hughes, and others have been credited with one discovery at Hemlo. Goliath Gold Mines and Golden Sceptre. Noranda developed that one. It became Hemlo Gold.

Hughes was also supposed to have had something to do with Belmoral, Sleeping Giant and Dorville in Quebec.
