re RICO "enterprise"

In this case, Elgindy was convicted under 18 U.S.C. §
1962(c), which makes it “unlawful for any person employed by or associated with any enterprise engaged in . . . interstate or foreign commerce, to conduct or participate, directly or
indirectly, in the conduct of such enterprise’s affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity.” Among the acts that make up the pattern of racketeering activity are Elgindy’s direction of communications to the AP site subscribers located in the Eastern District and Royer’s obstruction of the grand jury investigation in the Eastern District.
