Have you noticed how some here have a mission to change Brinker's advice from

"lump sum 100% into the market at 808 in March of 2003" followed by a "GIFT HORSE BUYING OPPORTUNITY at $1450" with SPECIFIC advice to not rebalance a "balanced portfolio #3" from 66% equities back to 50% equities at the top

to

"dollar cost average"

Incredible, isn't it!

This "dollar cost average" is smoke... for new money. If you are making IRA purchases, each one is a lump sum at the time you get the money...

The great market timer has been fully invested for a round trip... up nearly 100% from March 2003 to BELOW that buy level at the worst this year!

To think anyone calls Brinker a top market timer yet in the 3 largest bear markets since the great depression, he missed two of them and recommended QQQ near the top of the other. The others must be putrid or not followed by Hulbert!

It amazes me how Brinker can use the English language to his advantage and the army of shills helps him out.
