It's going to be hit and miss for me this week as far as posting. There are many loose ends to tie up as the year comes to an end. In typical Mike fashion I've yet to even buy a gift - thank God our family Christmas isn't until Saturday. If I don't get many more chances to post (I'll probably have a few today) I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Thanks to all of you for the many Christmas cards and kind words of support you've given to my son me. In a world where we many times don't even know our neighbors, because of technology, I'm able to say I consider many of you good friends even though we've never met. God Bless you and the people you love and care about.

Merry Christmas to all!

On a different topic

Years ago God gave me the greatest gift of my life. He delivered (well....my former wife did the actually hard work <g>) a happy, healthy son that is my only child. Today that boy turns 10 and he's the pride and joy of my life. He is my Christmas baby - hence the name Nicholas! The Hospital made sure to give me the "How to" book about raising the perfect son but I must have dropped it in the snow on the way out so I'm having to wing it! They call the Army the toughest job you'll ever love but I think that phrase may be better reserved for raising kids. I know it's going to get harder but the rewards will last forever! I know this whole post sounds a little out of character for me but it's not. To me, December 22nd will ALWAYS be the greatest holiday of them all!

My Greatest Christmas Present ever!
