Thanks for your clarifications. Met two Norwegian girls on my flight back from Luanda, Angola. Direct flight Jo'burg-São Paulo overbooked, SAA rerouted sending us all the way to Dubai and from there on a direct First Class flight to Brazil.

Long trip we became acquainted. There were travelling the world for two years, before returning to Norway in 2010.

They are nurses and from a rich country you can have the luxury of travelling for two years before start working.

I found it very good because it gives the young ladies a broad view of what the world really is, (Asia, Africa, LATAM, North America) which in its turn, make them evaluate theirs and other countries. Tell their children about, and perhaps even help them choose their partners and be better voters by chosing their politicans more wisely.

The other was a French teacher from Reunion Island. She said she will never will retrun to France. Too cold. The economy of Reunion Island is supported by France's tax payers.

I wonder when those Islands -or many anachronic colonies- will become too expensive to support. (Not talking about Greenland!!)
