One measure of how tough times are in the Motor City: Some of the offenders in jail don't want to be released; some who do get out promptly re-offend to head back where there's heat, health care and three meals a day. Speaks volumes about the Motor City, if you ask me. The UAW members haven't been laid off; they're still making $150K/year. Yet, they can't find it in their hearts to feed people who are so desperate they'd rather be in jail than on the street? Pathetic. It goes to just how money-grubbing these union members really are, IMO.
