You are correct on both counts. My wife's parents voted the ticket, regardless of who was on it. They could not articulate why they voted for W other than he was a Republican. I agree that politicians lie, no matter their stripes. The only thing we could definitely see with W is that he's a mental midget. Oh, and that he sold the Republican party down the river, with uncontrolled spending and bigger government, except for those pesky SEC regulations.
