just out from out-tray

i like this website clusterstock.alleyinsider.com a lot, for it enables me to read the funnies as they develop, evolve, twist, turn, zig and zag, without having to wait for the inevitable pulitzer prize-winning summer read

as noted, srs is suspect, gld may not be dependable, skf could be a trap, s&p500 almost certainly is a fraud, and the us$ ... oh, never mind, let us not go there this lovely morning

and so, besides unleveraged downtown real estate, metal bars of all varieties between the letters a through z within ones grbbing distance can be counted upon, and counted every day, till the end ofdays

present company excepted, naturally, wall street and its cesspool of hangers-on, tag-alongs, spinmesters, and whatever-else-not can only be couned on for one thing and one thing only, that you are their business and must not believe whatever they say, because you are their business, mak, score, and revenue source.

the steady and true return of sure gold is just looking better and better with each passing revelation and every new exposure.

sell gold? short gold? what a fanciful idea? about as clever as playing soviet roulette with a perhaps loaded automatic glock. surely there is a better trade on the eve of planet-wide sorrow and cusp of galaxy-engulfing zero-state reset.

think there were calls for same "gold is no gold" at the sorry end of each and every tragic bubble times past, since about ... oh ... give and take, 6 thousand years ago.

deflation? and so let's print some money, because inflation is a lesser worry?

where had i heard that one before? on, yes, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, and now, again, 2008, and for sure, count on it, 2009.

fool me once ... shame on me.

instead, let us count our blessings, may we count them again tomorrow and one year later, without need for accountants and lawyers and ledgering fuss.

and let us pray to prepare to better prey.

cheers, j
