Need a floating tax on gasoline. Time to do it is when it's low...but......don't expect it.

I agree. That's a much better way to support green initiatives, compared to CAFE standards or other EPA directed solutions. Let the automakers and the clownsumers figure out what's best for themselves, and support conservation (and public transport) all at the same time.
