As I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong), Chrysler is 80.1% owned by a private Hedge Fund.

And the Hedge Fund would be willing to toss all of Chrysler overboard for a dollar if they could just trade it for the rest of GMAC which they do not yet own....

(Sounds like there is NO WAY the Hedge Fund is going to be putting any big bucks into Chrysler to 'restructure it' --- they want OUT.)

And... I sure don't see why the American taxpayers should be bailing out a private Hedge Fund... in essence, guaranteeing the Hedge Fund a profit.
