i think the usa federal government will

(i) aggregate / consolidate as much debt from companies, states, and municipalities as possible

(ii) drive people to us dollar, and then to t-bills, and

(iii) do one massive default

because that is the argentine script - declare bank holiday, convert forex deposit to domestic currency deposit, then domestic currency deposit to central govt debt, and then

add a zero to all monies.

people are walking into the trap that is intuitively obvious to the most casual observers in japan, zimbabwe and argentina.
