Look at that big eye of his. I probably blinded the little guy with the flash of the camera.

Yesterday a little female showed up. We've named her Lucy. (His name is Lucky) Lucky is sharing the feeder with Lucy....probably has something besides food on his mind...........men........and so I think we may end up with a couple of baby hummers next spring.

The feeder is just a bottle with a little dish underneath with four perches and holes with little plastic yellow fake flowers around the holes. Nothing special imo.

The hummers have to be hungry this time of year and would eat out of a dish if they had too imo.

Tell your friend we hung a drop light next to the feeder. The heat from the bulb is keeping the nectar thawed. I read somewhere the nectar will freeze if it gets below 28 degrees. I think we've passed that point. Although I do bring the feeder in at night.
