Since the data is available every day from the CBOE, it is easy to use a spreadsheet to keep yourself updated on the contour of the curve. I think it could be useful to look the Friday before and the Monday and Tuesday of option expiry week. A trader might be able to detect that the shares may present a downtrend oportunity to lock in a profit and buy back lower... or pick up more for a short time gain. See also: exchange2000.com Ben A.
