What makes you think it won't happen? Stocks are like water, they seek there level. IF you don't think stocks in the US aren't over valued, then I got a bridge for sale. What's happening in Hong Kong can very well happen in the US. Once investors lose confidence, as they did in '73, the US equity market will go to levels that are probably lower than what is reasonalbe value. It's the nature of the beast and confidence is the prime mover in this case.
