Mormonism is a stealth religion, hidden from the public by the Mormons themselves. They have this shtick that they are just a branch of Christianity, but they are no closer than Scientology.

I doubt Ten knows the first thing about the Mormons he supports, except that they hate homos too.

Ted, > I am just very tired of religion playing such a big role in American lives. I want a secular country, not one like Iran.

I know you have a problem with politics and religion mixing together, but do you have a problem with culture and religion mixing together?

The reason why I ask is because politics and culture mix all the time. If you want a totally secular society, do something about the fact that over 90% of Americans believe in God.

I am just very tired of religion playing such a big role in American lives. I want a secular country, not one like Iran.

Who the fuck are you to tell someone else how much of a role religion is to play in their lives? It is none of your business.

The very foundation of this country -- its reason for existence -- is to allow individuals to choose how much religion, if any, they want in their lives. These are the protections our Constitution provides. If you don't like it, you're definitely in the wrong country.

The really, really stupid part of your remark is "not one like Iran".

If someone -- you, someone else, it doesn't matter -- has the ability to control the extent to which religion plays a role in Americans' lives, then Iran is precisely what you have.

Do you not realize just how stupid your remark is?
