Neo, your approach to science is like Google's approach to knowledge. Yes, knowledge is essential, but without thinking, it's not worth much at all and without consciousness it lacks value too. Can you really not figure out that plants are often short of CO2? The reason crop growers spend perfectly good money on CO2 enrichment in their glasshouses is because the extra CO2 increases their profits. That's one way for you to know that plants are short of CO2 often enough to be significant. Mqurice
