When do you think that was? Maybe after the press started turning negative on McCain?

By then, the press was already calling McCain "McSame." The same guy they once hailed as the "maverick moderate," especially for his stance on global warming.

Still waiting for examples of the mainstream media giving McCain a break after he became the GOP front-runner.
