Holier than thou?

Since you bring up holiness.

What is holiness?

Holiness is sanctity. The original man from the streets had it in spades.

His birthday is celebrated in two days.

He is supposed to be the reason behind the trees, lights, sparkles and ho, ho, ho's of the season.

The reason we celebrate peace, joy and family.
The reason we love each other.
The reason to breathe for some.
The reason to exist.

To follow his teachings. To celebrate his love.

As men of the streets among others from the streets.

The reason to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven.

I ask for your forgiveness.

I feel better when I act from a higher nature.

Than bitterness, anger or hate.

It does get easier the more I practice seeing myself for who I really am. When I strip away the veneer of attitude that hides me from my higher nature.

Sometimes tho' I just say "fuck it".

And let the asshole in me take over.

Then I end up asking for forgiveness again. Just so I can be a bit more like he was. It helps keep my nose from getting broke as well. It has been broken way to many times from fights already.

Don't think this an asskiss. I think you need to take a long look at yourself. Your hurt is evident. But it can be put behind. If you have the courage to face the demon that haunts you.

There I go again.......

Oh well. I am hopeless.......

Well..... Not quite.
