Another in an endless series of dumb questions from the MBA of the thread... If it is all about the kinds of cars the American automakers are building as you and others here have claimed, why is Toyota now having to lay off workers? It isn't a dumb question. It is highly pertinent and I'd like an answer. If the American automakers are idiots, please explain why the Japanese automakers are facing the same kinds of problems? The truth, of course, is that their problems are largely the same, except that the American automakers have no money to weather an economic downturn because the UAW has drained them DRY over the last 50 years.
