>>>What about Mort Zuckerman?

I heard he only lost about 10% of his "trust."

Hell, I lost more than him this year on a percentage basis.

"Personally, I don't feel any more sorry for Madoff's "victims" than I do for those who poured 1/3 (or more) of their portfolios into the QQQs on Brinker's recommendation. Greedy people sometimes get sheared."

<<What about Mort Zuckerman? He was like the poor folks who invested in the BJ Group. He gave his money to a fund manager and the guy placed it all with Madoff. The people in the BJ Group gave their money to Brinker and he put them in the QQQ's.>>

--I have never felt any sympathy for anyone who invested in the BJ Group.

I don't know the details about Zuckerman. Which fund manager did it to him? Was it a hedge fund manager? If so, then he deserved what he got, because only a fool would pay what a hedge fund manager charges (IMO).

It's a bit surprising that Zuckerman would end up having money with Madoff, though, as Zuckerman is a very smart guy.

It just goes to show what I've always said, which is that even the smartest among us sometimes make big mistakes.
