What I was inferring was that he appears to have the same lack of conscience that I've seen in other leaders that we rightly judge as evil. Of course, they don't see it themselves. Hitler did do some good things for the Germans but ended up destroying the country. Bush is all for "American interests" also, regardless what it does to others....and us. I think we should ask the Iraqis and those under the Taliban whether or not Bush delivered.

From my understanding, the Taliban is stronger than ever and Bush dropped the ball concerning Afghanistan while he pursued his ulterior motives. You'll always find SOME people supporting whomever. Most Iraqis though wish Bush and co. never showed up (especially with no game plan...except a cowboy attitude). Yes, some people had worse lives under Hussein than today. Still, that is clearly in the minority. The country is a wreck with many displaced or dead. This was Bush's doing as he attacked a sovereign nation that was NOT at war with us. Hitler did the same.

As for Stalin, we all know he was evil. My comparisons were based on what the world will say about Bush when all is said and done. Don't confuse our freedom due to earlier leadership to what goes for freedom today. We're still reaping benefits from our Founding Fathers just as we will eventually reap the negatives from this administration. Btw, to be sure, it didn't just start with him. He certainly helped it along, though. It's only a matter of time.

Lastly, let the people in Iraq decide if they'd rather have a civil war. They were living pretty well in harmony until we decided to help. Anyway, I'm not here to argue or anything else. I've read a lot on what has happened the last few years and have drawn my conclusions. I'll also add that much of that reading hasn't come just from our own presses.

You and I both know that the real warfare is spiritual. So how come our leadership believes bombs, torture, arrogance etc. are the answers? As Americans we like to think we're above others, that we can't do what they've done and yet, we've proven otherwise....with leadership leading the way.

hey Creede I usually don't get involved in Politics but are you aware the Bush family fortune was made from Prescott Bush Georges Grand daddy by helping fund the Germans and the Nazi regime and profited by doing so? The US government even stepped in and shut down the firm he was running for trading with the enemy during world war two!

here is a link to a book about the Bush history!

Capitalism is a great system but also has its flaws and one of them is the arms and war machine. It is the largest money making machine on the tipsy top of the pyramid chain!

Remington arms has sold arms to all sides of the Wars at the same time with no regard to who is right or wrong! It's just money for profit period.

Our war with Iraq was a huge mistake and the end result has been terrifying. kinda like calling it a war on terror. War is terror and when you just call it a war against terror you don't have a real defined enemy or purpose!

Happy holidays
