Triff, this picture shows a less quiescent sun, with a dirty great hydrogen bomb-type explosion on the lower left horizon, as well as one on the upper right horizon: sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov But yes, it's a very peaceful place at present. Not much sign of the suddenly rising sun-spot cycle which Neo and the doomsters predicted. I note that so far, my prediction has been most accurate and there is snow all over the place in the USA as evidence. It's amusing that so much snow is great evidence of Global Warming [in the Doomster manual of expected effects = both heating and cooling are evidence of Global Warming] Mqurice
