The way I see it, Intel's public story was IA-64 was to be the next generation. I don't blame them for trying to create a proprietary processor, just part of the business cycle.

The problem is,as I have mentioned in the past, if what you say is true, then you have divulged privileged inside information no one in the public had access to.

It's why the company I work for says since I represent the company I work for, I am not to say anything about the company I work for or any of its competitors.

You can say "well, the comments are my own and do not represent the company I work for", but once it makes it in a press story that an Intel employee said something on a blog contrary to Intel's public corporate position, then the can of worms has been opened.

With the numbers of Intel related posters I have encountered on message boards, the answer seems to be Intel promotes trashing their competitors. Just wonder who takes the fall if it hits the fan?
