I think of the models I understand as one of many tools. I certainly would not be buying GM solely on the basis of its relative cheapness as shown in the BMW model [though now might be a great time to buy it]. Investing in my view is as much art as it is science. A well-developed intuition/judgment [how does one measure that in any objective way?], training, experience and a deep curiosity are all essential. Each one by itself is next to useless without the others. A bit of luck also helps.
