Not only all of that, Kirk, but he regularly makes highly exaggerated, or even false, demeaning accusations about the "bashers."

This is just another way of downplaying Brinker's record and making it appear like even documented facts are biased and not reliable -- if they cast Brinker in a bad light.

OTOH, he is clever enough not to ever make an attempt to dispute any of the documented facts that Joe, NLC, you or I post about Brinker because he knows that would make him look just plain silly.

kirk said of me:

<<For example, he has said Brinker was better than all the others in the 1990s (which was not true)>>

--I'm not sure what you're getting at here. One time I said something to that effect, and then someone pointed out that Bob was wrong on the market in 1990 and (as I recall) part of 1991.

I knew that, but just used "the 90s" as kind of shorthand figuring everyone would know what I meant.

But from the time he turned bullish in 1991, through 1999, it would have been hard for anyone to have been better.

<<He also falsely says nobody else predicted the bear market.>>

--I NEVER said that! I simply referred to Hulbert saying that all of the 9 top-rated market timers were bullish in Oct. 2007 (one of them turned bearish in Jan. 2008).

Obviously, SOMEONE predicts every bear market! There is ALWAYS somebody predicting a bear market. I read Barrons every week in the 90s, and I don't think a single week went by that there wasn't at least one article about some prominent guy who was a bear.

<<I consider it LYING for Octavian to keep repeating this nonsense after we've pointed out numerous times he was wrong.>>

--I don't really think you're lying. You're just blinded by your own biases and hate.
