Paul, "I am not a programmer - does that make you feel like your life is now worth something?" So, you do admit that you do not have enough qualification to talk about software trends in computing.
This is good.

Now let's talk hardware. You have demonstrated basics of XT-keyboard at the level of retired hobbist, that is true. However you did not grow up even to the same level when gossiping about computer memory.
Remember, you still think that if a memory stick is marked as "60ns access time", then the data cannot go faster than every 60ns. Feel from where it comes? Right, from the same XT-era... How can you be not ashamed to talk about SDRAM and memory performance of 440LX chip if you failed to grasp the concept of burst transfers? And let me assure you that the internals of modern microprocessors are significantly more complex than your 8080 you were taught at school 20 years ago. You may be amused and excited about modern processors when you read business-wire articles about them, but you just cannot do your own judgement about trends - no current background, nil.

That is why I am telling you: stop talking trash on AMD threads and go teach your Intelopers (closed 81 7/8, down 2 1/16).

- Ali (still, nothing more, nothing less).

P.S.: ".. you exist to trash and denigrate prople who have many accomplishments in their lives - .." You certainly mean yourself here, do you? Next time we can discuss your accomplishments in production development and PC pricing policies, or some issues of modern silicon technology.

Paul, you wrote: "So that really makes you immeasurably better than me?" So, you started to assume this idea, do you? You are making a progress.

You wrote: "I asked you to provide examples of your programming
accomplishments - and you provide NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING!"

What a horror! And I asked you to get off AMD thread, but you are still THERE, THERE, THERE!
