700? that is a far greater # than I've read. And no deaths, until one since Israel started bombing. if we are to hold Russia to a "proportionate" response to Georgia, and India to hold back after the horror that was done to them... why should we not expect the same from Israel? And ourselves, of course... the worst disproportionate offender.

Hamas has no missles that are worth a durn. The Palestinians, who you keep not saying were not responsible for the Holocaust and they are a pathetic poor people. Israel's response is far beyond anything necessary or of equal harm.

I would start by having a decent flow of food and medical supplies inside 'the fence'. That was supposed to happen with the cease fire but did not. But the world doesn't seem to care about anyone hungry in there. Not even the Arabs. The bombing is just a reason for them to yell and scream now. They do nothing much more for the Palestinians than other peoples.

Washington was right to warn of being either too friendly or too antagonistic to any country. It blurs the vision and disrupts our doing what is in our interest, and what we might think is just.
