I have read the history of Palestine. And perhaps my views vaguely resemble the truth in much the same way the homes of palestinians resemble "refugee camps".

Maybe you should read a little about the connection between the arabs and nazis. Especially Ba'athist.

I know about the connection between the Arabs and the nazis. You've heard the saying........the enemy of my enemy is my friend. In any case, the fighting between the Arabs and Zionists didn't start after Israel was established or even during WW II......it had been going on for decades. And Zionist terrorist organizations made life miserable for both the Palestinians and the Brits.

Hell, the posterboy for the PLO, yasser arafat spent the first 20 years of his life in Cairo. The only reason he went to palestine was to fight against israelis.

Why is that significant?

as far as lebanon goes, again, perhaps if the lebanese government hadn't allowed Hezbollah to fire rockets into israel, israel wouldn't have attacked lebanon.

There is no justification for what Israel did to Lebanon. They unleashed a level of terror on innocent Lebanese greater than the worst terrorist organization. The irony is the reason for their attack.....Hezbollah...came about because of their first attack of Lebanon back in the early 1980s. The southern Lebanese vowed to never allow an invasion by Israel again.....and that led to the birth of Hezbollah.

When I was growing up, my brother and our friends had a rule. If we were punched by another, we had the right to either do three punchbacks or one punchback three times as hard. I like the idea of 100x retaliation in the case of israel being attacked.

We are not talking a bunch of kids and their own version of hardass. We're talking countries. Israel lost a lot of friends two summers ago. Eventually Israel will be completely on its own. Their grand experiment has failed and they need to look for other options before its too late.
