thats a really good point, and if you lived in Florida this would be on your mind constantly but if you were a resident of say, the UK, who was nothing more than an Ally of the threatened state, you'd probably be pretty sick of hearing about it and feel that you had larger, more pertinent problems to solve. im sure that if some insurgent group took over cuba ,was elected by local populace, vowed to destroy the united states and started firing missiles at florida the United States would be very careful not to retaliate and just let it go on for years. As for having rage and hate, living under the threat of war, destruction, and terrorist activity for a lifetime can do that to you.
