Do you ever see both sides of the argument?

Wow - pot calls kettle black. :-)

I do see both sides but its hard to argue from both sides when one group sees only from one POV. Republicans are so pro Israel its hard to have a reasonable discussion on the subject.

For an example, as much as I identify more with Israelis than Palestinians, I can't ignore the fact that Israel was born in violence caused by the Zionists who decided to occupy Palestine without consulting the Palestinians. With their superior money and weapons, they took the land away from the Palestinians. This didn't happen thousands of years ago but in the last 100 years. How can we expect any people to be okay with that? I know Americans would not be if it happened to us.

Knowing this history even prior to Lebanon, Israel's position became more and more untenable for me even as the Arabs use of the suicide bomber tactic disgusted me. However, post Lebanon, I have lost all sympathy for the Israelis. They have become the very monsters they escaped in Nazi Germany. They have lost all sense of proportion and their humanity. Israel was born in violence and will die in violence. And sadly, most Israelis do not seem to see that scenario. The ones that do emigrate.
